Anonymous by design
PhotoPuzzle does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, or password.
What we store
- Photos you upload — stored on our server to generate your puzzle.
- Puzzle data — grid placement and Sudoku numbers.
- Anonymous session cookie (
pp_session) — for upload limits and hints. - Play progress — saved in your browser's
localStorage, not on our servers.
Retention
- Uploads that are never shared are deleted after 30 days.
- Shared puzzles and their images are kept for up to 1 year of inactivity.
- You can create a new puzzle anytime; we do not offer a user library.
Sharing
When you share a puzzle, anyone with the link can play it. Share links are public but unlisted — they are not shown in a public gallery.
Analytics
We count anonymous events (puzzles created, completed, share button clicks) to improve the product. We do not use third-party ad trackers.
Your rights
Because we do not identify you, we cannot look up "your" data. Unshared uploads expire automatically. For questions, contact the site operator.
